About ABMA

The Alberta Bilingual Municipalities Association (ABMA) is a member association servicing member municipalities in Alberta that are either declared bilingual at a Federal level and/or that support bilingualism as a driver for economic growth. ABMA is an important player in economic development in Alberta. We know that, as a bilingual country, if we place bilingualism at the core of economic strategies, it can lead to more available jobs, more available employees, stronger municipalities and more diverse cultural communities.

OUR VISION

The vision for ABMA is to showcase and advocate for bilingualism as a driver for municipal economic development in Alberta.

We are a hub for information, education, celebration and action for bilingualism in Alberta. Our diverse membership of municipalities that value bilingualism make for a stronger Alberta - economically, culturally and financially.
